Biography

Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim popularly known as Lyta was born on the 21st of October 1996 in a small town, Okweru in Kwara State where he grew up and was raised by his parents before moving to Lagos at the age of 13.

In a family of 3 children, he was the youngest among his siblings, and during his tender age, he spent most of his playtime watching listening to music. Along the line, he developed an interest in singing which urged him to join church rehearsals every Saturday in an exclusive interview he revealed.

Carrer

Lyta career as a musician began in 2018 where he sang in a mosque under a small music group called Ile Kewu in his community before joining YBNL.

He released his first debut single Time under the grooming of popular music label owner and rapper, Olamide. Although things went sour between them both which led to him leaving the label.

Notwithstanding in 2019 Doro Musik Gang (DMG) signed Lyta where he released his banger titled Monalisa“ which amassed over 1 million listens and 500,000 views across several platforms.
