Okada Riders now plying major roads in Lagos

Observers and Lagosians are now seeing the one upon a time banned okadas on major road again.

Okada and Keke riders have started plying major roads in the commercial center of Nigeria, Lagos. This sudden upsurge came after the #Endsars protest which caused quite a lot of havoc in the state.

Earlier this year, the Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu placed restrictions of okada or Keke in major areas of the state, which was quite effective till after the protest.

The police and other relevant agencies have relented to see the effectiveness of the directive by the Lagos State government.

It has brought so many concerned Nigerians to question the Lagos State government on the update of this directive. Even an eye-witness who expressed concern over an okada accident she nearly had due to the mode at which she had seen the roads during the period the directive was effective, having the fact that she works freely on the road.
